The operating principle of electronic switches is based on the switching characteristics of semiconductor devices. Take a transistor for example, when the base current changes, the current between the collector and emitter will also change, thus realizing the on-off control of the circuit. When the base current is zero, the transistor is in the cut-off state, there is almost no current flowing between the collector and the emitter, and the circuit is broken; when the base current increases to a certain level, the transistor enters the saturation state, there is a larger current flowing between the collector and the emitter, and the circuit is turned on.
