STIS-125 Isolator Switch are specially designed switches used to isolate, sectionalize or connect circuits in electrical systems. It does not normally have the ability to break load currents, but can safely divide and close circuits where there is no load or very little current. The primary function of a disconnect switch is to provide a visible point of disconnection to ensure that electrical equipment can be safely accessed by personnel when it is being serviced or inspected.

1.Structure:
STIS-125 Isolator Switch are available in a variety of configurations, but usually include a fixed contact and a movable contact. By means of an operating mechanism (e.g. handle, motor, etc.), the contact can be moved to open or close a circuit.
2.Features:
High insulating properties: components such as contacts, insulators and housings of disconnect switches are usually made of highly insulating materials to ensure that the insulation resistance between the circuit and the ground is sufficiently high in the disconnected state.
Obvious disconnection point: When the STIS-125 Series Isolator Switch is in the disconnected state, the gap between its contacts is large enough to provide an obvious disconnection point, making it easy for staff to recognize the state of the circuit.
Ease of operation: Series disconnectors are usually designed with an easy-to-operate mechanism that allows personnel to open or close the circuit with ease.
Series disconnectors are widely used in various electrical systems, including but not limited to:Power system: In power plants, substations and other power systems, the series disconnectors are used to isolate, segment or connect high-voltage circuits.Industrial systems: In factories, mines and other industrial systems, the STIS-125 Series Isolator Switch are used to control and protect various electrical equipment.Building system: In residential, commercial buildings and other building systems, the series of disconnect switches are usually installed in the distribution box, used to control the on-off of the circuit.
1.Selection:
When selecting a STIS-125 Series Isolator Switch, you need to consider the rated voltage and rated current of the circuit, the environment of use (e.g., indoor, outdoor, explosion-proof, etc.), as well as the mode of operation (e.g., manual, motorized, etc.) and other factors.
2.Precautions for use:
Before operating the disconnecting switch, make sure that the circuit is disconnected or in a no-load condition.
During operation, observe the relevant electrical safety regulations and operating procedures.
Regularly inspect and maintain the disconnecting switch to ensure its normal operation and safety.
