The Differential Current Circuit Breaker RCBO is a device specially designed to detect and cut off fault current in a circuit due to leakage. When the leakage current in the circuit reaches or exceeds a preset value, the RCBO will automatically trip, thus cutting off the circuit and preventing electrical fires and electrocutions.

Principle of operation
The operating principle of the ELCB is based on the detection of unbalanced currents in a circuit by a zero sequence current transformer (ZCT). When the fire line current in the circuit is not equal to the zero line current, i.e. there is a leakage current, the ZCT senses this unbalanced current and generates a corresponding electrical signal. The electronic circuitry inside the ELCB processes this signal, and when the signal reaches or exceeds the preset threshold, it triggers the trip mechanism to cut off the circuit.
High sensitivity: The Differential Current Circuit Breaker RCBO is able to detect small leakage currents, usually at the milliampere level, resulting in high protection accuracy.
Fast response: Once leakage current is detected, the ELCB will quickly cut off the circuit to prevent the fault from expanding.
Versatility: In addition to basic leakage protection, some ELCBs have overload and short circuit protection.
Easy to install and maintain: ELCBs are usually plug-and-play design for easy installation and removal. Meanwhile, its simple internal structure makes it easy to maintain and overhaul.
ELCBs are widely used in places where electrical protection is required, such as homes, offices, factories, hospitals and so on. The protection of ELCB is especially important in wet or electrocution-prone environments, such as bathrooms, kitchens, swimming pools and other areas.
