3 Pole AC Contactor

3 Pole AC Contactor is an AC contactor with three independent contacts (or poles), each of which controls one phase of a three-phase power system. Its main function is to remotely control the starting, stopping and reversing of three-phase motors or other three-phase loads. By controlling the on and off of these three contacts, it can realize the connection and disconnection of the three-phase circuit, thus controlling the working status of the electric load.

Structure and working principle

Structure:

Electromagnetic system: includes components such as coils, cores, etc., which are used to generate magnetic flux to drive the opening and closing of the contact system.

Contact system: including main contact and auxiliary contact. The main contact is used to carry high current, and the auxiliary contact is used to realize the transmission and feedback of control signals.

Arc extinguishing device: Used to extinguish the arc generated when the contact is disconnected to protect the contact from damage.

Shell: used to protect the internal components from the external environment.


Working Principle:

When the coil is energized, the iron core generates magnetism and attracts the contact system to close, making the three-phase circuit open.

When the coil is de-energized, the iron core loses its magnetism and the contact system separates under the action of the spring to disconnect the three-phase circuit.
