SCJ19 switching capacitor type contactor is used in power network of AC 50Hz or 60Hz, up to 380V, for operating or switching LV capacitor control device in LV reactive power circuit. With antisurge device, it can reduce impact of closing surge and prevent from overload as breaking.

Principle of operation

The operating principle of AC Magnetic Contactor is based on electromagnetic induction and magnetic force. When the coil is energized, the magnetic field generated attracts the iron core and closes the contacts, thus opening the circuit. When the coil is de-energized, the magnetic field disappears, the iron core resets under the action of the spring, the contact is broken and the circuit is disconnected. In this way, the AC Magnetic Contactor realizes the control of the AC circuit.


Structure and Composition

AC Magnetic Contactor is mainly composed of the following parts:


Electromagnetic System: Includes components such as coil, core and armature, which are the key parts for generating magnetic field and magnetic action.

Contact System: Includes the main contact and auxiliary contact, which are used to turn on and off the circuit. The main contacts are usually used to carry larger currents, while the auxiliary contacts are used to realize various control functions.

Arc extinguishing device: Used to extinguish the arc when the contact is disconnected, preventing the arc from damaging the contact.

Other components: such as springs, brackets, housings, etc., are used to fix and support the components to ensure the normal operation of the contactor.


Structure features

1.The contactor assembled with current limited resistance,able to limit switching-on surge within permissible value.

2.The contactor is of directly acting dual-break structure,acting mechanism is agile,easy to check by hand,compact structureconvenient to replace contacts.

3.Wiring terminal block protected by cover,safe and reliable.

4.It can be mounted by screws,or on 35/75mm standard rail.

Working and Installation Conditions

(1)Ambient temperature:-5℃-+40℃,the average temperature should not be above +35℃ in 24 hours.

(2) Atmospheric conditions: atmosphere ambient humidity under 50% when +40℃.The ambient humidity can be higher in lower temperature. In the wettest month average lowest temperature + 25 ℃ for average with the maximum relative humidity is 90%, and considering the temperature change and happen because the product on the surface of the gel.

(3)Altitude not higher than 2000m when installation.

(4)Pollution class: 3 class

(5)Installation class: III

(6)Installation condition: Mounting surface and the slope of the vertical plane is not more than ± 5 °, and no significant impact and vibration, shaking the place.
