Main functions of STB1-63 Miniature Circuit Breaker
1.Overload protection: When the current in the circuit exceeds the rated value of the MCB, the STB1-63 Miniature Circuit Breakerwill automatically cut off the circuit within a set period of time to prevent the circuit and equipment from overheating.
2.Short-circuit protection: When a short-circuit occurs in the circuit, the STB1-63 Miniature Circuit Breakerwill cut off the circuit immediately to prevent the short-circuit current from damaging the circuit and equipment.
3.Leakage protection (some MCBs have this function): for MCBs with leakage protection, when there is leakage in the circuit, the STB1-63 Miniature Circuit Breakerwill quickly cut off the circuit to protect personal safety.
Principle of operation of MCBs
MCBs usually contain a thermal magnetic or electronic trip detector inside, which is used to detect changes in the current in the circuit. When the current is abnormal, the striker triggers the tripping mechanism of the MCB, causing the STB1-63 Miniature Circuit Breakerto quickly cut off the circuit.
1.Thermal magnetic striker: It utilizes the heat generated when the current passes through the conductor to trigger the tripping. When the current is too large, the conductor heats up, causing the bimetal inside the thermal magnetic striker to bend, thus triggering the tripping mechanism.
2.Electronic striker: It utilizes electronic components to detect current changes and control the action of the tripping mechanism. When an abnormal current is detected, the electronic striker sends a signal to the tripping mechanism to cut off the circuit.
