STID-B RCCB B Model Residual Current Circuit Breaker is suitable for type A and is also suitable for smoothing DC residual currents, DC residual currents that may arise from rectifier circuits and high frequency AC residual currents. It provides protection in the event of continuous fault currents in three-phase networks. STID-B is commonly used in the fields of charging stations, medical equipment and instruments, controllers and variable speed drives, battery chargers and inverters (DC). STID-B complies with IEC/EN61008 and IEC/EN62423 standards.

Main features

Rated current: 40A, suitable for larger current electrical systems.

Leakage protection: with high sensitivity and accuracy, it can detect the leakage current and cut off the power supply in a very short time.

Safety performance: conforms to international standards such as IEC/EN61008.1 and GB16916.1, ensuring the safety and reliability of the product.

Scope of application: Widely used in industrial, commercial, high-rise and civil buildings to provide comprehensive protection for the electrical system.

Principle of operation

RCCB B Model Residual Current Circuit Breaker is based on the zero sequence current transformer. Each conducting phase passes through a zero sequence current transformer, the secondary side of which is connected to an electromagnetic detent. Under normal conditions, the vector sum of the phase currents through the zero sequence current transformer is zero, so the flux through the transformer is zero, the secondary output voltage is also zero, and the circuit breaker will not operate. However, once the leakage current increases and drives the secondary side output voltage to grow to a certain level, the electromagnetic release activates, driving the operating mechanism to act and disconnect the contacts connected to the power supply, thus realizing leakage protection.

Selection and Installation

Selection: When selecting an RCCB, parameters such as the rated voltage, rated current, leakage action current and action time of the electrical system should be considered. It is also necessary to select a suitable RCCB according to the type of protection required (e.g. direct contact protection or indirect contact protection).

Installation: The RCCB should be installed at the incoming end of the electrical system or on a branch line to ensure full protection of the entire electrical system or a specific branch line. During installation, relevant standards and codes should be strictly observed to ensure proper connection and reliable operation of the RCCB.
