Main Characteristics

Waterproof: The Immersion Alarm RCBO housing is made of waterproof material or specially treated to ensure good insulation and protection rating even in wet or outdoor environments. Common waterproof ratings such as IP66 indicate that the device is completely protected against dust ingress and can withstand a strong spray of water without being affected.


Residual current protection: When the residual current in the circuit reaches a preset value, the RCBO can quickly cut off the circuit to prevent electric shock and electrical fires. This feature is essential to protect personal safety and equipment safety.

Overload protection: When the current in the circuit exceeds the rated current of the circuit breaker, the RCBO can automatically cut off the circuit to prevent circuit damage or fire accidents caused by overload.

Short-circuit protection: When a short-circuit occurs in the circuit, RCBO can act quickly to cut off the short-circuit current and protect the safety of the circuit and equipment.


The  RCBO has the function of  Leakage protection/Water ingress alarm/overload protection/Short circuit protection function.


The working reference temperature of RCBO is 30ºC , when the   ambient temperature changes, its setting value should be corrected. If multiple RCBOs are installed in a closed box and the temperature  inside the box rises, the rated current should be multiplied by the

derating factor of 0.8.


The "N" line on the RCBO should be connected to the neutral line to make the electronic circuit work normally and play a prote- ctive role.

It is not allowed to use the method of short-circuiting the phase    line to the neutral line or the phase line to the phase line to carry out the short-circuit protection capability test on the RCBO.


General selection principles

a)The rated working voltage of RCBO ≥ the rated voltage of the line.

b) The rated current of RCBO is 1.1-1.25 times the load current calculated by the line.

c)The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of RCBO ≥ the maximum short-circuit

current that may appear in the line.

d)RCBO instantaneous release setting current ≤ 0.8 times the end of the line phase-to-ground or phase-to-phase short circuit current.

e) Single-phase rated current of electric heaters, refrigerators and incandescent la-mps at a given voltage and power In=P/U; three-phase rated current In=P/1.732U.RCBO residual current is generally selected as 30mA, which is used as personal contact protection.
