The STH8-100 series Household AC Contactors are primarily designed for AC 50Hz (or 60Hz), with a rated operating voltage up to 400V. They have a rated operating current of up to 100A under AC-7a usage category and up to 40A under AC-7b usage category. These contactors are used to control low or slightly inductive loads in residential and similar applications, as well as for controlling household motor loads. The product is mainly applied in homes, hotels, apartments, office buildings, public buildings, shopping malls, sports venues, etc., to achieve automated control functions. Standards compliance: IEC61095, GB/T17885.

Household AC contactor usually consists of the following parts:
Contact system: including main contacts and auxiliary contacts. The main contact is used to turn on and break the main circuit, which usually has a larger rated current; the auxiliary contact is used to turn on and break the control circuit, which has a smaller rated current.
Electromagnetic system: It consists of iron core, armature and coil. When the coil is energized, the core generates a magnetic field that attracts the armature and closes the contacts; when the coil is de-energized, the magnetic field disappears, the armature is released and the contacts are broken.
Arc extinguishing device: used to extinguish the arc when the contacts are disconnected, preventing the arc from causing damage to the contacts.
Shell and accessories: the shell is used to protect the internal components from the influence of the external environment; the accessories include mounting brackets, terminals, etc., which are used to realize the installation and wiring of the contactor.
The working principle of household AC contactors is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When the coil is energized, the iron core generates a magnetic field that attracts the armature and closes the contacts; when the coil is de-energized, the magnetic field disappears, the armature is released and the contacts are disconnected. By controlling the energization and de-energization of the coil, remote control and protection of household circuits can be realized.
The main technical parameters of household AC contactors include rated voltage, rated current, rated frequency, connecting and breaking capacity and so on. The selection of these parameters should be determined according to the actual situation of the household circuit to ensure the normal operation and safe use of the contactor.
Rated voltage: refers to the voltage level when the contactor works normally.
Rated current: refers to the maximum current that the contactor can withstand for a long time under the rated voltage.
Rated frequency: the frequency of the power supply when the contactor works normally.
Connecting and breaking capacity: the maximum current that the contactor can reliably connect and break under the specified conditions.
