The operating principle of the 2P 1P+N Residual Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection is based on the vector sum of currents and the electromagnetic principle. When the currents on the L (Fire) and N (Zero) lines in the circuit are not equal in magnitude, the vector sum of currents in the primary side of the transformer circuit is not zero, which generates an induced voltage in the secondary side coil. This induced voltage is added to the electromagnetic relay, generating an excitation current that creates a reverse demagnetizing force. When the fault current reaches the operating current value of the RCBO, this reverse demagnetizing force will cause the armature inside the electromagnetic relay to disengage from the yoke, pushing the operating mechanism to act and cut off the fault current circuit.
